Uganda Part 1
I'm back on the road
What a wild last quarter of 2025.
Coming back from an ACL injury was way harder than I expected. The most challenging thing? Training. Honestly, I’m so bad at it. I’ll go to physio 3 times a week, cool. But if I need to train at home, I just can’t get my head around it. It’s been so difficult.
The one thing that had been keeping me motivated for the 2 months after my surgery in October was going Gorilla trekking in Uganda. I knew that was going to be a challenge. And I knew that if I didn’t train for it, I’d miss out on one of my lifelong dreams.
So, honestly, I thought I was in a pretty good place going into the Uganda trip.
However, the part I didn’t take into account was how difficult it would be to simply get to Uganda. The airports, the walking through terminals, and the sitting for 7 hours on an economy class seat was tougher than I expected.
That said, I made it!
And I’ve managed to post my first video from the trip. You can check it out here.
The first video doesn’t include the gorillas. It does, however, include a bunch of really cool moments on safari. It also gives you a pretty deep insight into what was going through my emotions on the way to Uganda.
It was a pretty emotional journey. I hope you like the video!
Oh, and here are some photos from the trip below.
